Frequently Asked Questions

Yes absolutely! Check Roofing holds policies for Workers Compensation AND General Liability Insurance. We are also certified by the manufacturer’s to install their specific materials.

We have been in the roofing business for over 15 years

This depends on type of coverage you have on your home. In the State of Georgia if you have a mortgage then it is a requirement for you to have a full RCV policy (full replacement cost). This insures that if something devastating happens to the property and the mortgagor cannot afford to take care of it, then the expense will not be on the mortgage company. Most families have a mortgage on their homes in which they reside, and so if this is the case they have full replacement cost coverage on they home. As long as you have legitimate storm damage that happened during your policy period then your roof can be covered for replacement. The first step is hiring a reputable contractor to come out and perform an inspection. Schedule your free appointment with us and one of our HAAG Certified Inspectors will come out and provide you with a free detailed report.

We match all insurance claims and guarantee that we can and will replace your roof for what the insurance pays. As long as you have a full RCV policy and the roof is covered for replacement, we will get the job done.

We install every roof the same way regardless if you claim covers all of it. All roofs we replace we bring up to current local & state building codes. We exceed the manufacturer’s specifications on every project. Our job costs are higher but our callbacks are minimized and our quality is top notch. The roofs we install nobody can match. Excellence is one of our core values!

There are many factors that go into the price of a roof replacement project. Two story and steep roof slopes are more dangerous so labor costs are higher. The price of materials fluctuates month to month and generally with the changes in supply and demand. As of January 1, 2014 the State of Georgia adopted the IRC Residential Building Code for one & two story dwellings. This made items like drip edge, chimney crickets, and valley linings mandatory across the state. If your roof is older there is a good chance it’s not up to current building codes, so when it does get replaced these additional items will be required to be installed, which increases the project price.  At Check Roofing every roof we install exceeds all requirements. We match your insurance claim’s scope and bring your roof up to code whether they paid it or not. The only cost is your deductible.

Every insurance policy has a deductible, but no two policies are the same, so the dollar amount varies. You should ask your agent how much your policy deductible is and when it applies. When a restoration claim is filed and approved the insurance company issues you payments for the repairs but withholds the deductible amount. You are expected to pay your deductible directly to your service provider. Check Roofing does not collect any money on any project until work starts. You should never pay any contractors for any work until they either provide materials and/or start the working on the project.

Unfortunately yes there is no way around that. In certain unique situations where a claim has coverage for multiple items, such as paint work, AC unit Combs, gutter replacement, coverage for personal property damaged, etc., a customer can choose to refrain from completing that portion of the work and use the ACV payments for those forfeited items towards their deductible. This is done to help lighten the load, but this is not every claim. In 2013 the Georgia General Assembly passed House Bill 423, making it against the law to cover someone’s deductible. If the deductible is a financial burden we do offer financing assistance to qualifying customer. Call us for details.
